Raised in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, aka “Ski Town, USA,” a bona fide factory for Olympic athletes, Courtney began her journalism career at The New York Times Magazine in 1999, where her earliest interviews included NBA star Stephon Marbury and gold medalist Dara Torres. A lifelong fan, she devoted two years to developing several projects in the eco-sport space, all of which took a dive during Covid. However, many of those ideas led to landing an incredible position with CGG, Cound Group Global, a boutique sports agency that’s been representing female basketball players around the world for 30 years. Now combining that world-class business education with a lifetime of creative experience, Courtney’s partnering with filmmaker Marion Poizeau to launch Ramin Cultural Alliance (RCA), a foundation dedicated to their shared passions for art, sport and all forms of creative collaboration.
